The End is The Beginning. Once upon a time, a river rushed furiously over these rocks. Once upon a time, the land was green and the soil burst with life. Once upon a time, the water played and danced over the valley, carving a path through anything that stood in its way.
Then, over time, the water dried up. The grass faded, and the earth stood still. All that remained was the wind, and the rocks, and the sky.
But even as it ceased its mighty trails, the water left us one final gift. The shapes it carved, the striations it made, the window it created, all of it sustains us. It gave us, its rapt audience, a small glimpse of the celestial infinite, a reminder that we are all alive, and we are all connected.
